News from 2002:

On the heels of Pinky's smash 11/19 engagement at L.A's LAX
Sheraton---the most succesful yet in the jazz series there----she
will be appearing as guest vocalist Tuesday, December 3 at
The Vic in Santa Monica, CA, 2640 Main Street.
Phone 888 367 5299 for further info. A number of local and
national Pinky Winters' dates are in the works. Check back
here for regular updates.

At the Sheraton on November 19th, Pinky's third set was
opened by her youngest daughter, Jennifer Hardaway.
She is a musician in her own right, but heretofore is mostly
known as rock-influenced performer. Sounding not much like
her mom, Jennifer has a terrific style all her own. The way she
brought down the house with "My Foolish Heart" suggests a lot
of woodshedding with standards on the side.

In addition to on-line purchasing of "Rain Sometimes," it is
also now available at Aron's Record Shop and Amoeba
Records in Los Angeles; PM Sounds in Torrance, CA; and at
all Disk Union Stores in Tokyo. It will also be available soon at
Footlights Records in NYC.

Chuck Niles of the widely heard Southern California jazz radio
tradition, KKJZ, is spinning ---does one spin CD's?---- Pinky
and RRB's "Rain Sometimes" on a regular basis. His favorite
tracks are the title song and "Melancholy Baby."

The new CD by Pinky and Richard Rodney
Bennett "Rain Sometimes"
is now finally released!

Pinky made a "surprise" guest appearance
sitting in on a couple of numbers with Bill Charlap (piano)
at the Jazz Bakery on Friday, October 4th at 8:00pm.

Pinky performed recently (Sunday, Oct. 13th) at the 2002
Songbirds Convergence in NYC with Richard Rodney Bennett.
